The Lakshmi Group, established in 1990, takes pride in its specialization in the production of a diverse array of items such as ferroalloys, inoculants, and steel ingots. Over the years, we've significantly expanded, with extensive manufacturing facilities and state-of-the-art warehouses strategically located in Bangalore, Pondicherry, Palamaneru, Hindupur, and Renigunta. Our clientele spans various sectors, encompassing steel industries, casting foundries, and welding electrode plants.

We operate our manufacturing unit by amalgamating both domestic and international technologies, ensuring the creation of high-quality products that adhere strictly to our rigorous in-house standards.
Pondicherry: Situated within the Sethurapet industrial area, this unit specializes in the production of Ferro Molybdenum. This facility stands out for its commitment to eco-friendly practices and stringent quality control measures. Operating within a thriving industrial zone, this unit leverages cutting-edge technology and a skilled workforce to ensure the excellence of our Ferro Molybdenum manufacturing process. Additionally, our unit in Pondicherry prioritizes innovation, continuously exploring new avenues for process optimization and product enhancement.

Hindupur unit: Located approximately 100 kilometers from Bangalore, our unit in Hindupur sits at the border between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. Spanning 20 acres, this strategically positioned site benefits from the presence of esteemed manganese ore suppliers in its vicinity, ensuring access to superior-quality manganese ores. Primarily utilized for trading purposes, this unit serves as a pivotal hub within our operations.

Tirupati Unit: Located in Gajulamandyam along the Tirupati-Chennai Highway, this sprawling facility spans 100 acres, benefiting from its proximity to three major ports: Krishnapatnam (120 Km), Chennai (145 Km), and Visakhapatnam (740 Km). With a capacity of 12 MVA, this unit excels in producing up to 20,000 metric tons of Silico Manganese annually.

Lakshmi Metallurgy Limited stands on the foundation laid by three brothers: V Prabhakar, V Babu, and V Vijay Kumar, each proficient in the manufacturing, importing, and supply of Ferro Alloys.

Their journey traces back to their involvement in their father’s Foundry Industry during their formative years, where the concept of this company took root. The trio decided to specialize in distinct sectors of the industry. Mr. Prabhakar delved deep into technical aspects concerning steel scrap and Ferro Alloys, blending his marketing acumen into practical applications. Mr. Babu adeptly managed day-to-day administration, while Mr. Vijay Kumar honed his expertise in various production facets.

HISTORY

1990 : Mr. Prabhakar initiated M/s. Sri Lakshmi Traders with a vision to deliver top-quality trading in Ferro Alloys and scrap metals, emphasizing superior product quality and punctual delivery.

1996 : Mr. V Babu and Mr. Vijaya Kumar shared Mr. Prabhakar's passion and joined forces, aiming to elevate and expand the business.

Their collective efforts marked the inception of M/s. Lakshmi Metal & Ferro Alloys, catering to the burgeoning demand for Ferro Alloys & Metals. That same year, leveraging their diverse expertise, M/s Lakshmi Alloys commenced trading in minor materials and miscellaneous foundry inputs. In 2002, M/s Lakshmi Metallurgical India Pvt Ltd was established in Pondicherry, producing Ferro Molybdenum, Inoculants, and Slag Lak, among others. By 2006, post obtaining ISO 9001-2000 certification, M/s Lakshmi Metallurgical India Pvt Ltd transformed into Lakshmi Metallurgy Limited.

2007 : The focus of the directors shifted to steel ingots, leading to the installation of a cutting-edge manufacturing plant equipped with advanced machinery in Palamaner, Andhra Pradesh.

2019: The company underwent a change in ownership, with Sandeep Babu taking control. Under his guidance, the inception of the Pondicherry unit stands as a testament to his forward-thinking and strategic vision, broadening the company's operational scope. Serving as the Director of Lakshmi Metals and Alloys, he upholds a heritage spanning three generations within the industry. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in positioning the company as a significant player in the manufacturing and trading of ferroalloys. Holding a Master's degree in Advertising and Marketing from the esteemed Leeds Business School, UK, Sandeep Babu's educational background, complemented by his keen understanding of global markets, has significantly shaped the company's strategies for international expansion. Proficient in deciphering marketing trends, he consistently explores new avenues and capitalizes on emerging opportunities to propel the company's growth.
